Fiesta! Ole!

We made the 17+ hour drive to Phoenix last weekend. It was not all that terrible. That was because of 2 reasons. 1) Patty & Ernie took Lilia on the flight to Phoenix with them. 2) Catching Fire!! I read it to Jason almost the entire way and it made the time fly. I forgot to add 3) our van amazingly has an outlet, and since our DVD player doesn't really work it was perfect to plug the laptop in so the kids could watch movies the entire time. It was a packed, fun-filled weekend. I'm in love with the Phoenix area. If Jason could find a job there I'd move there tomorrow. I know the heat is bad, but you forget we live in humid Texas where we had 40+ days over 100ยบ this summer. (IN A ROW!)
We had In-N-Out. I got to shop at H&M. We went to a Pep Rally-which we missed most of.
Sunday we went to sacrament meeting. It was a nice big ward--such a luxury. Then after we went to see the Mesa temple. They still had some Christmas decorations set up, which the kids were thrilled about. They have grapefruit and lemon trees covering the grounds. It was beautiful! (The new banner was taken at the temple.) We saw about 5 different families there, all but one were there for the Boise State game. The other could have been but we didn't ask them. Got to love Bronco Nation!

The game....the game, the game, the game. It was amazing! Ray was so excited he kept screaming randomly from the back seat on the way. Grandma was giggly because Ray was so insanely excited. (It was kind of infectious.) We had these awesome signs Alex made, but we didn't make it on TV. We should have had someone take a picture of us holding them up, but that didn't happen either. We had GO B-R-O-N-C-O-S, then O-L-E and OLE OLE OLE, each letter on it's own poster board, but they were too big and the people behind us didn't appreciate them so we didn't hold them up that much. We never got around to the "Everything is bigger in Texas?" sign. The crowd was probably 3/4 Boise State fans Anyway, it was stressful, and I can see how it would be slow for people not invested in the teams, but I loved every minute.
