Early Birthday Present
I've been looking on craigslist for a kitchen table for months off and on. I finally found one I loved and had to pretty much beg Jason to agree with me to get it. Part of that included me saying, "It can be my birthday present!" So here's my early birthday present. Jason is always so sweet going and picking up things I buy on craigslist. (Thanks Jason, I love you!) He's such a good husband and daddy. It's nice to have a table that matches the awesomeness of our kitchen.
Party time! Party time! Excellent!!
Colby's BIG 0-4 was Tuesday. I had a microbiology test that night and I knew we wouldn't be able to celebrate before I had class, so we had a lunch time family birthday party at Mr. Gatti's, a pizza buffet place. He got to open his presents inside, then once we got back out to the car, SURPRISE!!! A new bike in the trunk. He's so cute riding it. I really can't believe he's 4. He seems more grown up already.
A couple of Hot Wheels to open with breakfast.

Jason took the kids for a bike ride while I was at class.

I Love Spring-ish Time!
Last weekend we wanted to plant this flower bed in our front yard. It was overgrown and ugly, with the most awful rabbit statue in there.
(Jason really wanted to keep it, so I knew I'd have to do the planting when he wasn't at home.) But the weather just didn't work for us. It was a huge disappointment. Sunday night (last post) we did a little trimming and raking the leaves out of there, and all we needed was flowers.
The kids and I had to take Jason to work today, so we stopped at Walmart on the way home to get donuts for breakfast and pick up some flowers. I was really impressed with Walmart's selection and prices. They had these packs of petunias called "Shock Wave"-it came in this pink package of 6 sections with a little plastic handle on it, the are the most beautiful petunias I've ever seen, and they kind of cover the ground, not just grow up. Anyway, $6 for that. That is the first time I've been to Walmart in probably two months. This story's going nowhere fast, so here are the pictures.

This is Eva....
Colby's response to Eva....he was cracking up every time Eva managed to push down the nozzle on the hose.
Sweet Lilia, she seems so grown up lately.

Another fun weekend with Fam
Patty came to visit this last weekend. The kids love her so much. No one spoils them like Grandma Boise. The weekend went way too fast, and so sadly, it was rainy the whole time she was here until late Saturday afternoon and Sunday. We had great plans to go to Sea World and maybe the zoo, and whatever else, but of course the weather didn't cooperate. But we still had a great time. And of course, I forgot to take pictures until right before she left. But we still got some good ones. We all loved having her here. It's a dream of mine we'll live close to them again someday. Hopefully sooner rather than later. :)

(Colby and Eva had just woken up in these pictures...)
After we took Patty to the airport we hung out in the front yard and the kids ran around like crazies. Here's a cute little picture of our house. It starting to look like summer around here.

Grandma Boise got the girls these matching dresses during a little shopping trip on Saturday. I love them!

Easter Weekend
I had a pretty incredible Easter weekend. I was able to spend 26 hours in Washington DC (unbelievable flight problems-what should have taken just over 6 hours to get to DC took 12--I arrived in DC at 4:15AM!!!!!! Then flew out at 6 Sunday morning) But I got there, and my sister, Abby, went to the temple for her endowments. It was so great being there. I got to see my newest nephews, Cole and Asher, shop at my favorite store for the kids (H&M), and just spend time with the fam. It was a really, really, really good weekend. I loved every minute I was there. Family picture to be added soon, but here is one of the temple I took with my phone. (This was my absolute favorite temple when I was a little girl.)

Then I got home from a smooth, uneventful plane ride home, and after church the Easter bunny came to our house.

(The Easter bunny found these glasses at H&M!!)

Here are a couple more pictures. We forgot about the Easter present from Grandma and Grandpa Boise, but they were so excited to get to celebrate Easter twice! :)
