I Love Spring-ish Time!

Last weekend we wanted to plant this flower bed in our front yard. It was overgrown and ugly, with the most awful rabbit statue in there. (Jason really wanted to keep it, so I knew I'd have to do the planting when he wasn't at home.) But the weather just didn't work for us. It was a huge disappointment. Sunday night (last post) we did a little trimming and raking the leaves out of there, and all we needed was flowers.
The kids and I had to take Jason to work today, so we stopped at Walmart on the way home to get donuts for breakfast and pick up some flowers. I was really impressed with Walmart's selection and prices. They had these packs of petunias called "Shock Wave"-it came in this pink package of 6 sections with a little plastic handle on it, the are the most beautiful petunias I've ever seen, and they kind of cover the ground, not just grow up. Anyway, $6 for that. That is the first time I've been to Walmart in probably two months. This story's going nowhere fast, so here are the pictures.

After:This is Eva....Colby's response to Eva....he was cracking up every time Eva managed to push down the nozzle on the hose. Sweet Lilia, she seems so grown up lately.

Lilia seems so grown up? Every picture I see of your kids, they look older. :-(

Great story...I especially like that Jason wanted to keep the cheesy rabbits, but you didn't let him. Hahaha. You guys are funny!

That looks so pretty! I used to love to work in my yard, it was one of my favorite things to do. Now with all of the kids it just seems like a big hassle. **Sigh** Maybe someday I will love it again! The good thing is I feel absolutely no pressure to do anything in the yard now that we are renting!! I agree with Les, Lilia is looking so grown up!

Love the flowers! I wish I had a yard. Maybe we'll find a place in Kentucky where I can at least plant a few flowers and some tomatoes.
Yup...all of your kids look big! I think Colby looks HUGE! I can't believe he is almost 4!!!

Becky, I remember your yard in Boise and remember how great it looked. I'm sure you'll find some time when you are like 80.

She is soooo grown up!!! Why oh why do they have to get big so fast? Love the flower bed!!! We have been, well I have been, working on the flower beds and it have gotten no where. We are also trying to get some grass seed down. HOpefully I can do it Monday but first I need to mow and rake and you know my kids won't be cooperative for that amount of time. Oh well, I love the front flower bed!
