It only took us 8 months, but we have completed the majority of our remodel work in our kitchen. With only a few minor details left to be done. Here is our before and after shots, followed by some of the process. Thanks to My Dad and David for all your help when you were here visiting, and to Dana and the Grandma's for letting me work on the project while they entertained the kids....Now lets get going on those bathrooms! Not. Jason Before: After:
The kitchen looks awesome! What a complete makeover you did. I love the color you painted the walls. This will really add value to your home. I didn't realize you had to take all of the cabinets out on that one wall. Way to go, both of you, as this wasn't an easy project. Jason, you are amazing me with your remodeling skills. Mom
Holy geez, what a makeover!! Nice work Delga-dillos!!! I love the cabinets! Looks like you did some awesome work Jason, you're quite the handyman. It looks great!!!
That's right Leslie, I am applauding myself, but I can't take all the credit. Jason's dad is a pretty good handiman also, and Jason did come to the earth with some natural ability. However, I did teach him the fine art of hole digging, and I can't wait until he comes to visit this summer. I've got a couple of potential holes waiting for him. Dad
Wow, I think it looks terrific, I love your countertops, and how you refinished the cabinets, very creative, what a lot of work!! I love the new picture at the top of your blog of the kids are their chairs- so cute!

Note to anyone who wants to use milk paint. Just say NO! David tried to tell me, just like he tried to tell me not to refinish the hardwood floor in our first house in Boise. But in the end, it was probably worth it. If you don't know what milk paint is, don't google it. Thanks for the compliments everyone. Jason
THAT. IS. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I so wish we had the patience and drive to create a masterpiece like that! I am so impressed. Could you maybe...umm...come do our kitchen next??? Your bathrooms can wait, right?!?
