Survivor - Texas Style

Due to the popularity of the "Survivor" shows, Texas is planning to do
one entitled, "Survivor, Texas-Style." The contestants will all start in
Dallas , then drive to Waco , Austin , San Antonio , over to Houston and
down to Brownsville . They will then proceed up to Del Rio , El Paso, Midland,
Odessa, Lubbock and Amarillo . From there they will go on to Abilene ,
Fort Worth and finally back to Dallas.

Each will be driving a pink Volvo with bumper stickers that reads: "I'm
Gay," "I love the Dixie Chicks," "Boycott Beef," "I Voted for Obama,"
"George Strait Sucks," "Hillary in 2012" and "I'm here to confiscate
your guns.."

The first one to make it back to Dallas alive wins.

Hey Moms, want something fun to do?

Regal theaters has a Free Family Film Festival during the summer. If you have a Regal theater in your town, check out this site. They play a PG and G movie at 10am Tuesday and Wednesday (possibly Thursday...?) every week. It's the same movie all week long. We just went to Curious George on Wednesday, and Colby and Eva sat through the whole thing! It's the first movie we've been to in a year and a half, the last movie we went to (Bee Movie at the dollar theater in Pocatello) we lasted about 50 minutes. But if your kids won't sit through the whole thing, that's okay because it's FREE! I'm all about free things. Share the love! Here's the website:

Curls!

Colby's curls are coming back, thank goodness. But Lilia is also getting a few, at least every once in awhile.Playing with Colby's video game bike. She really wants to keep up with Colby and Eva. She's trying to repeat sooo many words. She's really good at "thank you" which sounds more like "day doo", she uses that one all the time. She has her own version of words for binky--"dee dee", string cheese--"dee chee", shirt--"duht", shoe--"dhoo", a few more. She says uh-oh perfectly, that's what she says whenever I come in to get her from a nap, or in the morning, because her "dee dee" is always on the floor. It's amazing, she's really trying to communicate."Hi, my name's Chubs." (that is really what she was doing) Colby did this one day to the kitty, AND my mattress. Here's Eva in action.

From June2009
Once again, I can't load the video using blogger, any advice??? Or is there anyway I can make it so you can see the video on here and not have to click on it?

Happy Birthday Eva Jane!

Eva was born 3 years ago, it's hard to believe. Eva sure has personality. Okay, maybe I should say attitude. That is one thing she uses to drive her mommy crazy sometimes. But Eva is so loving and thoughtful. She is a momma to our kitten Simon. She carries that cat around everywhere she goes. She always tries to help Lilia with things Lilia can't do. If Eva has a treat she will share and she doesn't think twice about it meaning less for her. She is Colby's best friend and Colby is her best friend. While that first year, or maybe two, of her life was so difficult, I always knew it would be worth it because of what good friends they would become, and they do not disappoint I tell you. Eva makes life happier for everyone. Her laugh is infectious and she has unlimited love to give. When we pulled in her new princess bike from the garage she said, "*GASP* MY PRINCESS BIKE!!!! I LOVE MY PRINCESS BIKE!" (while giving the bike a hug.)
Happy Birthday Eva Jane, life wouldn't be the same without you. We love you!

Hey, Harry Potter fans!.....

I heard about this series from a friend and I LOVE IT!! There are 4 books out right now, but there will be one more out who knows when. They are supposed to be kids books, but weren't the HP books kids books also? Anyway, I loved the series. Excitement, imagination, quick read. I couldn't put it down. If you loved Harry Potter, you will most likely love Fablehaven also. There are a few similarities, like the 2nd book ends very similar to Sorcerer's Stone, but they're different and GOOD. Read it. Now!

Id rather be...

Ever see those Id rather be bumper stickers?
Dana's favorite is:

I like:

And this one? What is that about?

For any pessimist:

A couple for the politically minded, ya, lot like we ever see any political bumper stickers:

And for those dreamers out there:

And what I would rather be doing if I wasn't afraid of the uncompromising rigidity of concrete:

And what I would rather be doing but would never tell anyone:

And for the psychotic:

And for those who are tying to not be psychotic:

And finally those who don't care:

So, tell me what you would rather be doing?
