Halloween Week

Our week started off with a trip to the pumpkin patch for playgroup. They had a fun little hay ride and we picked out a couple of pumpkins.

Eva had a costume parade at school. Lilia, Jason and I got to go watch. Eva was Ariel the mermaid. We got a great Halloween package from Grandma and Grandpa Boise. The kids loved it!!Last, Leslie and Alex got to come visit for a couple of days!! Leslie got to go to the ultrasound, where we found out we're having another little girl!! Later that night we had a trunk-or-treat at our church. It was so fun! It was a trunk-or-treat and chili and cornbread dinner, everything was done in the parking lot. There was also a popcorn machine and a bouncy house.
Now we're eating ice cream and watching "It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."
Happy Halloween!!

I will follow directions.

Colby had a bad day at school. I knew it the second I opened his backpack and saw this.

Today he got his first ever frowny face. Usually he gets a green smile. :) Not so good days he gets a yellow mellow (?) face. :| Today, however......he got a blue frowny face. :(
He wrote in a school book with a marker. Yesterday was a yellow face because he wrote on his desk with marker.....ahhhhh. He also poked a kid with a pencil "repeatedly" at lunch today. That's what the note home from the teacher said.
Not good, I know.......but I just can't help but smile when every time I look at his "I will follow directions" paper. He'll catch on eventually. He's got to, right?

Prediction Time!

We have our ultrasound in 3 days where we'll find out what the baby is. (Crossing my fingers...)
So what do you think, boy or girl?

Pony ride!!

We have a weekly play group we love. We have so much fun with all the mommies and little kids that come. We even have a grandma that watches her granddaughter.
This grandma is the best addition to play group yet. To help pay for her sons' missions she decided to open a petting zoo. That's been over for years, but she still has a lot of the animals.
She hosted play group last week and we were able to go to her house, waaaaay out in the country, at least a 20 minutes drive...I'm still not sure how she's in our ward, but she is. The girls got to ride a pony, feed goats, pet a bunny, feed chickens, pet a duck--Eva got to hold the duck, and run around crazy in wide open spaces we just don't have in populated areas.
Our friends from play group are one of my favorite parts of San Antonio.
