Only a smidge late.

We had a great Christmas! Just our sweet little family.
We started a new tradition of tamales for Christmas Eve dinner! We'll see if that one sticks. Earlier on Christmas Eve the kids helped me make sugar cookies for Santa and frost them. Before bed we opened pajamas. The kids were so excited and kept talking about staying awake and catching Santa. That didn't happen, and they actually slept past 7 on Christmas, except Lilia, who didn't even notice the presents from Santa as she walked through the family room.
After all the presents were opened we found a letter Santa had left. He told the kids to remember the reason we have Christmas and to thank them for being such good kids. Last, he told them to go look in the backyard for one last surprise. There was a trampoline!!! Wooohooo!! Almost more fun for mommy than for the kids.
New Years Eve came so quick. We had friends over and danced the night away with Just Dance. Our kids love their friends here so much, and we are blessed to have made such amazing friends in Texas.
While we were cleaning up Christmas decorations on New Years day it got me thinking about alllllll the things I have left to do to prepare for this baby girl who will be here before we know it. But luckily, that was with 3 months to go and it will all be done before she gets here.
So that's it! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

I wanted to get a family picture with us all in our Christmas clothes, but I had to stay late at church and when I got home the boys were both out of their clothes. So here are me and my girls. (Eva did NOT want her picture taken.)Lilia's super cute new haircut.Making chocolate milk for Santa.
Colby asked for a football, to Jason's great delight. The aftermath.

Cute pics. I love the idea of the letter from Santa about the real meaning of Christmas.

I am envious of the weather warm enough to allow for kiddos jumping barefoot on their new trampoline on Christmas. How long was Santa putting that together Christmas Eve. Seriously, AWESOME job with that!

Looks like a blessed Christmas.

Also, my friend has a picture of her kids in which her middle child, Taylor, is making a scowl a lot like Eva's. She sent it out as a Christmas card with the words "Guess who's on the naughty list?" at the bottom. So, so SO funny!
